trimming the tree

today, I trimmed the suckers off my weeping cherry.
I think when you buy a "weeping" tree IT should know it's a weeping tree.
My tree is taller than any of the other weeping cherries in the area that were planted around the same time. It refuses to weep until it has gone straight up for 2 -3 feet then it starts to weep.
It is trying to get taller than the roof. I think it got some kind of plant steroids instead of fertilizer.
Every year when I prune the neighbors come out and cry "Why are you pruning that beautiful tree"
I just say to myself "I am the gardener I know what you're supposed to look like"

Blond moment I hate it when I lose my phone and I have been working my tail off.

first cleaned out pantry and put some food storage in the back so we can use it and dumped some wheat in the wheat bucket (remember a couple days ago when I got stuff from under the stairs to make bread)
We put the Halloween costumes together and in the attic while in attic brought out my winter clothes and put up some summer clothes (got into 4 totes)
Went out to shed to put away some summer pots and other stuff from deck looked into 5 totes to find the Christmas lights and ornaments for the outside tree.
Bagged garbage off deck.
and cleaned a bit of papers on the kitchen table
so after another hour of looking in all these places again and sometimes twice found the dead phone in a bag that I hadn't even looked in or used and have no idea how it got there.
Now it's on the charger and I'm still frustrated

but I felt like I had to do everything twice although the funny thing was when Evan asked if I had checked the wheat bucket and I thought nope not yet but I did check the garbage at least it wasn't yucky

it just about does stop because everything is on that phone. It's like my brain if I have a question I write it down or if I need to know something. I kept thinking what if it's in the attic and I never find it in all the insulation newspapery stuff. Then begins the freak out moments and with all the places I was and what I was doing crazy mama comes out and I have a hard enough time regularly haha

shot by fire extinguisher

has a question Have you ever been sprayed by a fire extinguisher me yes I have and no I wasn't on fire one of my lovely children removed the pin and I put the emergency pack in the truck on the fire extinguisher w/out realizing the pin wasn't in and got shot with powder.

When I called the Dispatch was put through to fire administration they "had to ask" shouldn't they know if the powder is going to give me a rash. no the powder is inert but you should shower immediately and vacuum immediately I was at school and had to wait to shower and it was raining so the car got brushed out not vacuumed and all matt said was Eric you shoulda got video. but it was so funny after the fact and I am thinking I should write for tv sitcoms cuz my life is full of 20 mins of crazys

My life is a sitcom

Went to church then took 3 youngers' to Matt's unit Christmas Party and guess what Santa surprisingly showed up hmm he must know something. We had Ribs and tato salad and mushed tatos,
Evan and Ian got all these ribs and pulled pork and ham. Emma refused the meat then it was Evan "mom I don't like meat." me " I know why did you get it" Evan " I don't know can I have cake." me "eat your tatos "
Evan "they're yucky, can I have cake." Me "after you eat what left on your plate." which he finished and then had 4,5,6 I lost count pieces of cake and candy etc.

surprisingly they were well behaved then we went to grandmas where they were able to help her put up ornaments. It was a good day

he shot a Bat

Today we had cub scout pack meeting it was the raingutter regatta evan came in 2nd in the first race but quit the 2nd. and last in the 3rd. we left at 8/;30 and I came home to change to go walking I was in the house for 5 min and when I shooed the kids in and left the neighbors were standing around looking at something and I was told that Evan shot a baby bat out of the sky at cassidy's yard and it was laying in the street he shot it with one of those soft bullet foam guns. My first thought yay no bat. second what a good shot third I'm sorry the girls are crying but yay no more bat. Cassidys mom was upset. But I am still amazed.

here we go again

I thought I had a blog but it disappeared and it wasn't like I used it anyway so lets see if I can get this one to work.
